Restorations

Over time, teeth can become more susceptible to decay, infection and damage—requiring restorative dentistry. With improved technique and technology, our team at HomeTown Dental specializes in restoring your smile to its normal appearance, function, and shape.

If your smile needs a good pick-me-up, our team will discuss your options and recommend the least invasive, most effective treatment.

Go Gold

As a strong biocompatible material, gold is an agreeable material for your gum tissue and tooth structure. It allows our dentists to be conservative and save more tooth structures.

Gold is generally used in crowns, onlays, and inlays procedures.

Dental Bridges

Used to help fill the gap between missing teeth, a dental bridge is made of crowns on either side of the missing tooth or teeth to support the false tooth, and is cemented in place.

Typically done in two appointments, a dental bridge can help your bite, prevent teeth from shifting and restore your ability to chew and speak. To know more about this procedure, call our office today.

Porcelain Crowns (Caps)

If you have a broken tooth, discolored or decayed teeth, a crown may be your solution. A crown (cap) covers the entire tooth surface to restore it to its original shape and size. A porcelain crown protects and strengthens the existing tooth structure, that otherwise can’t be restored with fillings or other restoration procedures.

What can I expect?

If you and your HomeTown Dental dentist agree that a porcelain crown is a right procedure for your teeth, you can expect this to be done in one or two appointments, depending on the needs of your tooth. Your dentist will numb and clean the existing tooth to prepare it for the crown. Once your crown is placed, the dentist will check the fit and function of the tooth.

After the procedure, you’ll be given care instructions from our team and will be encouraged to have regular dental visits to check your new crown.

Porcelain Veneers

As custom-shaped porcelain made to fit the size, shape and color, veneers are bonded to the front of your existing teeth to create a beautiful smile.

Veneers are used as an alternative to crowns to reshape your teeth and smile if you’re experiencing misshaped or crooked teeth, unwanted spaces or discoloration.

What can I expect?

This procedure at HomeTown Dental is usually completed in two appointments at our office. With local anesthesia, the teeth are prepared for veneer and a mold or impression of the teeth is taken to create the veneers. Temporary veneers are placed and allow you to try out your new smile before the final veneers are delivered.

At your second appointment, your teeth will be prepared for the veneers. With bonding cement, our dentist will place the veneer on your tooth and set it with a special light beam. You will receive special care instructions after the procedure for your newly placed veneers.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

As a removable dental device used to replace missing teeth and tissue, dentures are used to resemble your natural teeth and enhance your smile.

With two options—partial and complete—you and your dentist at HomeTown Dental will discuss which option will best fit your needs.

As durable devices, dentures are used when all or several teeth are missing which can improve your smile, facial issues, chewing, and speech.

Because of the complexity of this procedure, we recommend making an appointment with our team to discuss the process of getting dentures and the expectations you should have beforehand.
